Story

I’m Manan Singhal. First year of the B.A. Programme — Commerce and Mathematics — at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi.

1. 01

   Entering the circuit

   I entered the MUN circuit in 2019 as a delegate and stayed longer than most: Executive Board roles across 15+ conferences, committee-level responsibility for 600–700 delegates, six Best Delegate awards, and two years as a Campus Ambassador for International MUN. The circuit taught me procedure, pressure, and how to run a room.

2. 02

   Building Chakra

   In January 2024 I founded Chakra MUN. No institution behind it, no brand, no inherited delegate base. The 20-member core team and 100 campus ambassadors came first; sponsorship, partnerships and registrations followed. On Day 1 of the 2025 conference, two committees were suddenly without Executive Boards — I chaired both for two hours until substitutes arrived. The conference closed at 250+ delegates.

3. 03

   Beyond MUN

   At Journey Intellect I was the only marketing hire an early-stage startup had. Over a summer, monthly reach went from 800 to 23,000 and followers from 30 to 350. At Avantage Partners I now work as a Business Development Intern building AI-enabled outbound: Smartlead campaigns targeting 10,000+ US CPA firms, prospect research systems, personalization checked by hand. On the side I write Behind the Bio, on the operations behind polished titles.

4. 04

   What’s next

   More building. Finance is the long track — I’m working through the NSE Financial Markets module, with the CFA as the eventual target. The near-term work is simpler: make the outbound systems at Avantage produce measurable results, keep Chakra MUN growing as a platform, and keep the record on this site honest.
